Wikipedia article

I have participated in editing a Wikipedia page about bitmap images (https://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambar_bitmap). I have added new information which i have gathered to the article. The following is the content from the article which i added (original source in English):

Raster images are resolution-dependent because it contains a fixed number of pixels. A raster image will lose quality if it is enlarged beyond the number of pixels it contains, because the computer has to make up for the missing information.

Bitmaps are used for photorealistic images, and so it contains complex color variations. It can show the gradations of colour well and detailed images such as photographs. They can also be acquired by optical scanners and digital cameras
